Triage

Review details of accessibility violations without an automated fix, such as third party violations. Theme violations might also appear here before automation has finished running. Export to PDF to have an easy, shareable record of the violations without an automated fix. 

Elements with violations are grouped together, allowing developers to switch between tabs of grouped elements. Each tab title also includes the number of impacted elements within each group. Current groups are categorized as:

  • First Party - Theme

  • First Party - Content

  • First Party - Script

  • Third Party Unfixed

  • Unidentified 

When reviewing a specific violation type, Developers can use the More Details to learn more about the violations impact on your stores website. This page includes:

  • The ability to jump directly to the impacted page on your website using the Open in Preview button. 

    • The preview page will also include Patrol’s Violations Identification Widget , located in the bottom left corner of the screen. This widget helps highlight exactly where the violation takes place on the screen, as well as provides descriptions of the violations and the original HTML

  • The Violation Details tab provides a description of how to fix the violation, the status of the fix, liquid code and rendered HTML

  • Navigating to the Accessibility Info tab will provide a definition of the violation (also found within our Violation Dictionary) as well as examples of problematic and fixed code for the violation.

  • Depending on the Violation type you may see additional tabs on the More Details page designed to help you understand the violation and take necessary actions. These tabs include, but are not limited to Liquid Analysis, Edited Files, and a Code Editor.
