Your Monthly Checklist

Last updated: September 30, 2026

We will go through your monthly routine together during your recurring monthly sync with your Patrol Customer Success Manager. If you would rather handle it on your own some months, or you want a reference to come back to, here is what to check each month.

Your monthly sync

After your implementation calls, your Customer Success Manager will set up a recurring monthly sync where you do these deploys together. It is scheduled for 30 minutes, but most sessions take about 10, and the rest is time for your questions. Patrol always audits your most recently published live theme, so because your site keeps changing, this call is how new fixes keep getting deployed as your site evolves.

Your monthly checklist

If you decide to handle any month async, work through this list in your Patrol dashboard:

  1. Open Pending Actions in your Patrol dashboard and deploy any new content fixes.

  2. Open Pending Actions in your Patrol dashboard and deploy any new code fixes. The steps depend on whether you deploy through a Shopify release theme or a GitHub pull request.

    Shopify release theme

    1. From the dashboard, click Review and Deploy under Code Accessibility Fixes.

    2. Click Prepare Release Theme to generate this month's release theme with the new fixes.

    3. In Shopify, go to Online Store and then Themes, and open the new Patrol release theme with today's date.

    4. QA your new Patrol Preview Theme to make sure everything looks visually okay. Add a product to your cart and make sure you can get all the way to checkout.

    5. When everything looks right, publish the theme.

    GitHub pull request

    1. From the dashboard, click Review and Deploy under Code Accessibility Fixes.

    2. Click Create GitHub Pull Request to open this month's pull request.

    3. Select your repository and base branch, and assign a reviewer if you would like.

    4. Review and merge the pull request like any other change to your site.

  3. Work through any new visual fixes and mark them as fixed.

  4. If you have Patrol's Privacy tool, check the Privacy tab for anything under Needs action.

  5. Check for any new Third Party Violations from apps and scripts on your site. See How does Patrol handle third-party apps? for how to work through these.

  6. Open Deployment History to confirm everything deployed as expected. Click View deploy on any deployment to see its change log, or Rollback if something does not look right.

  • Click Export all PDFs any time you need a record of your changes.
